MOLD ALERGY AND SYMPTOMS OF
MOLD ALERGIES
The molds are the vital cause of seasonal alergic rhinitis along
with pollens from trees, grasses and weeds. The persons who are
allergic to molds may exhibit symptoms right from the springs to
late fall.
The mold season is believed to set to its peak from July till
late summer. When inhaled, the microscopic fungal spores or
often particles of fungi may cause alergic rhinitis.
As the mold sores are very tiny, they may evade the guarding
mechanism systems of the nose and upper respiratory tract
reaching to the lungs. In a few people the mold alergy symptoms
may be brought on or even worsened by ingesting certain foods
like, cheeses, processed with fungi. Infrequently, mushrooms,
dried fruits and foods having yeast, soy sauce or vinegar would
generate alergic symptoms. However, there is no connection
between the respiratory allergy and the mold penicillium and the
alergy to the drug penicillin which is made from the molds.
